NEW!  You can now have a Call Safe number routed to a mobile as well as a landline!   All you do is to click the 'Get number now!' button and you'll go to a page where you'll be asked to enter your real phone number (don't worry, we don't use it for anything other than running the service!) and also to choose how long you'd like your anonymous number to last for.  This can be any length of time from one hour to one week - it's your choice!  You can also change it to a different timespan if you wish at a later stage.   If you enter a landline number to be called on you will be given an 0871 number, if you enter a mobile number to be called on you will be given an 070 number - you then just pass on your Call Safe (0871 or 070) number on to the person you want to call you.

Using Call Safe will cost you absolutely nothing and we offer an extremely good deal for the person calling you too!  All calls to our 0871 numbers cost only 10p per minute, any time of day, any day of the week!  Calls to our 070 numbers cost just 37.5p per minute daytime (0800-1800 Monday - Friday), 25p per minute evening (1800-0800 Monday - Friday) and 12p per minute weekend (midnight Friday - midnight Sunday). If your friend is calling from a mobile phone the cost may vary so if they're not sure they can check with their phone provider.

At any time you can call the number from the phone you have registered and select to keep the number for another day or week. This day or week is counted in whole days, and starts from midnight of the day after you called.

What if the person who seemed so nice in the chat room turns out to be a complete psycho and you don't want them to be able to call you for one minute more, never mind the hour you chose?!  No problem - dial the 0871 or 070 number you were allocated and select 'delete' from the menu.  This will instantly cancel the number and they won't be able to call you on it anymore.  You can then sit back and feel relieved you didn't give them your real number!

Sure!  You can use it whenever you'd like someone to call you but not for them to have your real phone number.  Why not get a Call Safe number before you go out for the evening?  That way, if you meet someone you like, you can give them your number but it won't be your 'real' one until you get to know them a bit better and want them to have it.  It's also an incentive for them to call you within the timespan you set ... a real case of use it or lose it! Another use - say someone wants to call you but not have your (identifiable) number on their phone bill?  No problem - get a Call Safe number and all that will appear on their bill is an 0871 or 070 (depending on whether you chose to be called on a landline or mobile) number that will have elapsed after whatever timespan you chose. Or, if you'd like a quote on something but don't want sales teams having your phone number - simply get a Call Safe number and get them to call you on that!
